In my first post, I defined science as the study of nature and the universe around us. This definition still holds true to me as I think it is a broad, yet accurate description of the field. Ever since hearing different definitions of what science is from my fellow classmates, I can see how science may be perceived in different ways. For example, even though I think what the Miss America contestant did was just a demonstration, other classmates gave interesting outlooks as to how it may be an investigation. They said it was an investigation because she was confirming an idea that we already knew about mixing certain substances in order to get a known reaction. The central thing I took away from STP was how to adjust graphs in order for data to be easier to compare. This is important because being able to do so will more accurately display certain trends and correlations among datasets, which will be of great use during my career as an Astrop...
